Curtain Players and the City of Westerville Park and Recreation Department are stepping out of Sherwood Forest and into Wonderland.

The community theatre company and city again will team to present a free outdoor stage production at the city’s Alum Creek North Park amphitheater.

Following the overall success of Robin Hood and the Secret of Sherwood at the venue in June 2016, the community theatre company and the city decided to do another project. This year’s production is Alice: A Variation on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland by Ara Vito. Performances scheduled for evenings June 15-17 and 22-24.

Sonda Staley is leading the Alice creative team.

Curtain Players has announced a script review for Alice Wednesday March 22 followed by open auditions for the play Sunday March 26. Times, places, and other details regarding this project soon will be announced on the Curtain Players website, its social media accounts, and other channels. In addition to actors, Curtain Players welcomes volunteers interested in working on technical/design, backstage, and hospitality teams.

The community theatre soon will solicit corporate donations and grants to meet Alice production costs.
