Staley Leads 'Alice' Production Team

Curtain Players has announced production team leaders for its outdoor staging of Alice: A Variation on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland by Ara Vito.
Curtain Players is co-producing Alice with the City of Westerville’s Parks and Recreation Department. Six Alice performances are scheduled for 7:30 PM Thursdays-Saturdays June 15-17 and 22-24 in Westerville’s Alum Creek North Park amphitheater.
Sonda Staley leads the production team as director. Staley is a veteran Curtain Player and is a member of the theatre's artistic advisory committee. Her Curtain credits include direction of the award-winning production of Scotland Road in 2013, and roles in January's Simply Staged reading of Adam and Sarah, Boy Gets Girl, and Our Town. Staley teaches and directs theatre at Columbus State Community College. She has also directed and acted in many productions for various central Ohio theatre groups.
Staley is assisted by Johanna Breiding, new to Curtain Players.
Michael Day is stage manager. Day is a past Curtain Players board member, production manager, and has acted in and directed Curtain Players productions.
Keely Kurtas-Chapman and Doug Browell are Alice producers. Kurtas-Chapman directed Robin Hood and the Secret of Sherwood in the amphitheater in 2016 with Browell producing. Kurtas-Chapman has directed and produced several Curtain productions, and serves on the artistic advisory committee. Browell is a former board member and longtime Curtain actor, producer, and volunteer.
Actors interested in participating in Alice are advised a script review is scheduled for Wednesday March 22 with auditions Sunday March 26. Click here for details.
