Sony Reps Curtain at Roundtable

Jeremy Sony is the new Curtain Players representative to the Theatre Roundtable.

Sony fills the vacancy left by the departure of Jill Taylor.

Sony, elected as a Curtain Players board trustee in May, is familiar with Theatre Roundtable, having been engaged with that organization during his tenure as president of Curtain Players 10 years ago and as one of the founders of the Theatre Daedalus stage company.

As representative, he will attend Roundtable meetings and share information about its programs with Curtain Players.

Theatre Roundtable is a consortium of central Ohio stage companies working together to develop the local theatre community and expand opportunities for those interested in the theatre arts. The Roundtable annually presents an awards of excellence program, as well as unified auditions and workshops. Its mission: Theatre Roundtable is committed to the belief that knowledge of, and participation in, the theatre arts is central to human existence. The Roundtable shall act as a lobbyist, promote cooperation among local theatre, encourage the development of theatre-in-education, foster theatrical diversity, work to expand the general theatre-going population, and endorse the development of professional standards.
