Curtain Players volunteers promoted the upcoming production of Wendy Darling Friday August 25 at the Westerville Visitors and Convention Bureau’s Fourth Friday community gathering event in Uptown Westerville.

Randy Benge, Mary Benge, Elizabeth Harelik, Kathy Hyland, Jeff Kemeter, Heather Schultz, and Brian Henry shared the fall post cards and Wendy Darling business cards with passers-by.

The theatre, a WVCB member, plans to participate in the September 22 Fourth Friday, too. Those interested in helping that evening should contact Debb Miller at

Curtain Players will open its 2017-18 season – its 55th – on September 8 with Wendy Darling.

The Ira Hauptman script is receiving its first-ever fully staged production at the 5691 Harlem Road playhouse 8 PM Fridays and Saturdays September 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23, and 2 PM Sundays September 17 and 24. Click here to order tickets.

In Hauptman’s darkly comic version of the Peter Pan story, Wendy’s mother sets in motion a journey that threatens to change her family forever. This is not a children’s production, the play is written for appreciation by audiences ages 13 and older.
