Floral Fundraiser in Final Days

Posted: Monday, December 11, 2017, 5:15pm

Sunbury-based Watson’s Acres is in the final days of its floral fundraiser, selling paperwhites arrangements to benefit Curtain Players.

Molly and Brent Watson are proprietors of the farm. Molly Watson is a veteran Curtain Players volunteer who has worked on hospitality teams, as a stage manager and technician, and actor. Her onstage credits include The Diary of Anne Frank, The Skin of Our Teeth, and Pack of Lies.

The three paperwhites bulbs are growing hydroponically in a glass vase decorated with holiday-colored glass marbles. The paperwhites will be flowering or just about to flower, locally grown on the Watson family farm using sustainable, organic practices. Watson’s Acres is contributing one-third of each arrangement’s $30 purchase price to Curtain Players.

Click here to order. On a special Watson's Acres/Curtain Players page, customers can place their paperwhites orders and enter contact/billing information. Customers too may request a pick-up day/time (no later than Saturday December 16) at the Watson’s Acres farm, 5929 Fredricks Road (Sunbury 43074), just north of the town.
