Curtain Players begins its run of Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful on Friday March 23, and even before opening night, one performance is sold close to capacity.
As of 1:30 PM Tuesday March 20, the community theatre company has fewer than 10 tickets left to sell for the 2 o’clock Sunday March 25 matinee. There is a Curtain Panels audience talk back with cast and crew following that performance.
Tickets for The Trip to Bountiful are available on this website. Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for senior citizens and students. Click here.
Curtain Players presents The Trip to Bountiful at 8 PM March 23-24, 30-31, and April 6-7, with 2 o’clock matinees Sundays March 25 and April 8. There is no performance on Easter Sunday, April 1.
Set in post-World War II southeast Texas, Horton Foote’s play tells of Carrie Watts, an aging widow and woman of strong faith who runs away from her son Ludie and daughter-in-law Jessie Mae and their cramped Houston apartment to realize her dearest dream: to return to her beloved hometown, Bountiful. What starts as an ordinary trip soon becomes an inspiring and life-changing journey of discovery.
James F. Petsche directs the production.
