Curtain Players Season 56 continues with open auditions for A Christmas Carol, adapted to the stage by Romulus Linney from the Charles Dickens novel.

Auditions are set for Sunday, Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. (registration at 6:30 p.m., tryout at 7 p.m.) at our playhouse, located at 5691 Harlem Road (Galena OH 43021).

Heather Schultz directs this adaptation of the story of Ebenezer Scrooge's journey from an embittered, ungenerous creature into a giving, caring human being at the hands of three spirits, who, one Christmas Eve, show him what life means; with a preview set for Thursday, Nov. 29, and performances running Nov. 30-Dec. 1, Dec. 7-9, and Dec. 14-16.

Schultz is a Curtain Players veteran and current president who directed last season's Wendy Darling, which went on to represent OCTA's Central Region at the 2018 Ohio Community Theatre Association OCTAFest. Previous directing credits at Curtain Players include Five Women Wearing the Same Dress and Zombies from Beyond.
