Want to get involved with Curtain Players? We'd love to have you!

For every show you see at Curtain Players, there are dozens of volunteers making it happen. From the front-of-house volunteers who help you park, check you in, show you to your seat or sell you that cup of hot coffee at intermission, to the behind-the-scenes crew who build the sets, make the costumes, paint the flats, organize the equipment storage (and so much more!), Curtain Players thrives because of the generosity of many people each donating a bit of their time and care to our theater.
How can you get involved?
Front of House: If you'd like to volunteer for our front-of-house opportunities, we need volunteers for each performance to help direct cars in the parking lot, usher patrons to their seats, sell concessions, and work the box office. As a thank you, volunteers receive one free seat the night they work to stay and enjoy the show, and one free item from concessions. To volunteer for front-of-house, get info by emailing Debb Miller at email@example.com.
Show Prep: Maybe you'd like to help out before the show is in performances? Every show has at least one, if not two, Saturday set-build days. We welcome anyone who'd like to join us and help build or paint our sets. No experience is needed; we have all sorts of things to do on set-days and welcome volunteers of all levels of experience. To volunteer for a set-build, email Booth Muller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Committees: We also have several volunteer committees that work with our Board of Directors perfect for our volunteers who want to stay involved but can't always get to the playhouse. These include our season selection committee, marketing committee, OCTA and Theatre Roundtable reps, and more. If you're interested in serving on a committee, or running for a seat on the board, email Heather Schultz at email@example.com for more information!
Cast & Production Teams: Last, but certainly not least, are the volunteers you see on stage (and the ones you don't who make up our production teams)! We hold open auditions for every show in our season. Before each audition, we also hold an info night to meet the director, ask questions about the script and production, and visit the theater. For details about upcoming auditions, visit our audition page.
To get involved on a show behind-the-scenes, from producing to stage managing to directing to costuming to lighting to sound to everything in between, email Booth Muller at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how you'd like to get involved!
Not sure where to begin? Talk to the house manager or board rep at the next show you attend, and they'll help you get started!
