Each December, Curtain Players collects non-perishable food, household items, and financial contributions for WARM, the Westerville Area Resource Ministry.
We will be collecting items throughout the run of A Christmas Carol, with a goal to collect 500 items! We encourage all audience members who are able, to bring their WARM donation items with them to the show.
Recommended donation is three items, and donations of any size will be welcomed. Suggested items needed now (from WARM's website):
- Hamburger Helper
- Tuna Helper
- Sloppy Joe Mix
- Spaghetti Sauce
- Cereal (cold & hot)
- Canned fruit
- Baked beans
- Toilet Paper/Paper Towels
Financial donations are also welcome. Each dollar given to warm equals 2+ meals served. Once A Christmas Carol closes its run on Dec. 16, Curtain Players will take all donations directly to WARM.
In 2017, WARM served more than 5,800 households, providing nearly 260,000 meals and more than 30,000 lbs of farmers market produce to those they serve. Some of their programs include their Feed Food Pantry, Westerville Area Kids Lunch Club, Share Bac A Pac, and the Kids Lunch Club Produce program. More than 11,000 volunteered 26,024 hours in 2017 alone to help WARM.
Curtain Players conducts two campaigns a year for WARM, during our December and April productions.
