Thank You for Supporting WARM!

Thanks to the generosity of our audiences during the run of A Christmas Carol, we collected 205 perishable grocery items, personal care products, and household supplies for the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM), along with nearly $60 in cash donations.

The 218 lbs of donated items and cash were delivered to WARM for the holiday season by Jim Petsche, who coordinates our food drives.

This was the second of two Curtain Players food drives this year. A similar campaign during performances of A Trip to Bountiful in March 2018 netted 302 lbs and $64 in cash, bringing our total for 2018 to more than 500 lbs of donated goods and $120 in cash donations.

Your generosity allows WARM to continue its mission, which is to provide compassionate, short-term assistance, educational services and spiritual support in order to encourage individuals to achieve a God-reliant, self-sufficient life while restoring dignity and hope. Learn more about WARM and its programs by visiting its website.

This effort, which dates to 2009, is part of the theatre company’s Curtain Connects outreach program. Curtain Connects partnerships initiatives are an overall effort on the part of Curtain Players to give back to the community that has supported its artistic program for more than 50 years.
