2023 Begins With Loads of Theatre Fun

Happy New Year!

January 2023 finds the Curtain Players' calendar filled with loads of theatre fun and opportunities. Join us for January events including:

  • Auditions for The Gods of Comedy, directed by Cathy Cordy, on Sunday, January 8 @ 6:30pm. This show has opportunities for a wide range of actors and is sure to be an audience favorite when it opens March 10. Click on the auditions tab above and follow the drop down menu to The Gods of Comedy to find out more information about available roles.
  • Save the afternoon of January 29 to attend the Season 61 Announcement Party where we will learn the slated directors and shows for the 2023-2024 Season. If you are a Curtain Players' member, stay tuned to received your invitation. RSVP soon as space is limited.
  • The Production Kickoff Meeting for I'm Not Rappaport, directed by Michael Fusco, will be held at the playhouse on Sunday, January 29 @ 6:30pm. Click on the auditions tab above and follow the drop down menu to I'm Not Rappaport for more information.
  • Tickets are now on sale for Tick, Tick...Boom!, our only musical this season, which opens Friday, January 27. This popular and entertaining show is the autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the creator of Rent. The show follows Jon, a young theater composer who's waiting tables at a New York City diner in 1990 while writing what he hopes will be the next great American musical; his girlfriend Susan, who dreams of an artistic life beyond New York City; and his friend Michael, who has moved on from his dream to a life of financial security; amidst an artistic community being ravaged by the AIDS epidemic. With the clock ticking, Jon is at a crossroads and faces the question everyone must reckon with: What are we meant to do with the time we have?
